What is Pass Plus?
The Pass Plus is a DVSA approved training course aimed at 17 – 25 year olds, which designed to be taken after they have passed the practical driving test. It offers an opportunity for these newly qualified drivers to learn how to deal with various challenges in driving that they may not have encountered during their driving lessons. Briefly, it is to help them to become a safer and confident driver.
Why Pass Plus?
Research has shown that the newly qualified drivers are not only vulnerable in reckless driving but also likely to have an accident within the first two years after passing their driving test than at any other time in their driving career. It is estimated that newly qualified drivers under 21 years old cause most road traffic accidents because they lack or have little or no experience in driving
The Pass plus is mainly for anyone that has recently gained a full UK license. It is aimed at new and young drivers between the age of 17 to 25. This must be taken within the first year of passing their practical driving test. You will not have to take a test at the end of the course, but the instructor will continually assess you. You must successfully complete all the modules in the course to an achieved or exceeded standard, at the end of the course you will complete the paper work and then approximately 14 to 21 days you’ll receive your certificate.
